BELLDONNA & FRIENDS

We are animal rescuers who have saved over 1,000 cats, kittens & a few doggies from the horrors of abandonment and homelessness in NYC. We rescue cats from the roughest and neediest areas around New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The inspiration of our rescues namesake comes from the sweet calico to our left, Belladonna. We rescued her on Thursday April 7, 2022. Her feeder told us she was blind so we took her home immediately.  She was then diagnosed with the dreaded FIP - always thought to be a death sentence. However, with cutting edge medicine, generous donations and our endless dedication Belladonna is officially a survivor. She is now a little chunker who is busy bopping her foster kittens on the snout when they annoy her and jumping on the couch for snuggles. Cats like Belladonna are why we do this.
